1. Create a Calendar

Creating a calendar is the first step. If you’re creating one for your holiday home, you can label the calendar “holiday home.” A calendar consists of two things: the bookings your clients make and the house’s (or whatever you have available to be booked) availability, which you can manage.

2. Manage Availability

The days that your visitors can book depend on your home’s availability. This is easy for you to manage! Just select a status for each day. You can also edit multiple days at once. You can even add your own colours and change the language.

3. Create a Booking Form

Below your calendar, your website visitors will see a booking form, which you can fully customize. With only a few simple clicks you can add fields, edit labels and translations, make certain fields required, and so on. You can also set-up notifications to your customers here, so they will receive a confirmation message after their booking (not shown in video).

Publish a calendar

4. Publish a Calendar

Now you’re ready to publish your booking calendar on your website and start receiving bookings! Simply click on the “Add Calendar” button above the page editor. A window will open where you can select various options, like the language and the number of months you want to display. A shortcode is generated and inserted into your page. You can also use the WP Booking System Widget.

5. Receive and Manage Bookings!

New bookings are automatically added under the ‘Pending’ tab in the Bookings section of the calendar. You have the option of accepting or declining a booking. When you accept a booking you can update the availability calendar (change the booked dates to display as booked). The booking will now show under the ‘Accepted’ tab in the Bookings section.
