Discounts & Coupons

With the Discounts & Coupons Add-on, you have the possibility to create discounts for your customers. You can create automatic discounts that are applied to the checkout based on dynamic conditions you can create and configure, or by allowing the customer to enter a coupon code.

Discounts

Go to WP Admin -> WP Booking System -> Discounts and create your first discount.

The name of the discount will appear in the pricing table.

You can create a fixed amount discount or a percentage discount by changing the Discount Type field.

Then, you can add conditions or rules based on which the discount will be applied or not. You can create rule groups, each containing one or more rules.

For a discount to be applied, it must fulfill all the rules in at least one of the groups.

You can choose which calendars to apply the discount to. If no calendars are selected, the discount will be applied to all calendars.

You can also set the validity period of the discount. Set a starting or ending date for when the discount applies.

This is an example of a discount:

This is a complicated example which no one will probably use, but it includes most of the applicable rules, so it’s perfect for an example.

We have set a discount of 20%. The discount will be applied if:

  • the user books more than 3 days and less than 6 days.
  • the user is logged in
  • the total order value is greater than 4000
  • the form field Extras has the Breakfast option selected.
  • the calendar is Mountain Cabin

If either of these rules are met, the discount will be applied, and the pricing table will look like this:

Coupons

Go to WP Admin -> WP Booking System -> Coupons and create your first coupon.

The name of the coupon will appear in the pricing table.

You can create a fixed amount discount or a percentage discount by changing the Coupon Type field.

You then have to enter the coupon code. The coupon entered will automatically be converted to uppercase and all spaces will be replaced with a dash.

You can choose which calendars the coupon applies to. If no calendars are selected, the coupon can be applied to all calendars.

You can also set the validity period of the coupon. Set a starting or ending date for when the coupon can be used.

After creating the coupon, you have to edit your Form and add the Coupon field where the customer can enter the coupon.

This is an example of a coupon:

We created a coupon for a returning customer, with a fixed amount discount of $30, with the coupon code MY-SECOND-VISIT.

After the customer enters the coupon code, the pricing table will look like this:

You can see a demo on the Discounts & Coupons Add-on page.
